Homeschooling in Indiana has a rich history, dating back to 1904 with the landmark case State v. Peterman. However, it wasn’t until the 1980s that homeschooling began to gain significant traction. The Indiana Association of Home Educators (IAHE) was formed in 1983, advocating for the legal rights of homeschoolers. In 1985, the Seventh Circuit of the United States Court of Appeals affirmed the legality of homeschooling in Mazanec v. North Judson-San Pierre School Corporation, ending local school districts’ jurisdiction over homeschooling.

Our mission is to provide unwavering support, enriching resources, and personalized guidance for homeschooling families through a faith-based lens. We offer a versatile space for homeschool co-ops, groups, and private tutors to encourage the creation of a close-knit community where families unite to share knowledge and experiences. We believe that each child is a unique creation of God and are dedicated to fostering a nurturing environment where parents are empowered to take the lead in their children’s education. We will instill in them a deep sense of purpose, compassion, and a commitment to serving others. It is our mission to support parents in nurturing their family’s spiritual and academic development. Together, we prepare our children to be ready to face the challenges of this era with courage, conviction, and a rooted foundation.

To be a beacon of faith-based homeschooling, cultivating a community that works together to offer comprehensive resources. We aim to facilitate a collaborative environment with homeschool co-ops, groups, private tutors, and clubs, to foster a community that nurtures educational excellence. We envision a world where parents are equipped and empowered to lead and teach their children, fostering a generation of individuals grounded in both knowledge and faith.

The homeschool community reaches beyond the Evansville area, with families coming from over an hour away to find resources and groups to plug into. Families consist of parents who work full-time, part-time, single-income, single-parents, and married couples. Our kids are our future leaders, thinkers, and innovators.

Groups such as co-ops need reliable meeting spaces. We aim to provide a consistent, welcoming environment for these groups to thrive. While homeschoolers have many opportunities to socialize, creating a community where families can connect and grow together is invaluable. Our hub aims to be that place.

From co-ops to sports teams, curriculum sales to music lessons, our hub will serve as a central location for all these activities and more.

We will provide guidance for new homeschooling families, unique classes, parent support events, volunteer opportunities, and family events. We will also offer space for local homeschool co-ops, specialized groups, freelance teachers and tutors. Additionally, we will serve low-income or underprivileged families by offering free homeschool consultations and scholarship programs.

To join our mission, you can make financial donations or become a benefactor. We offer pledge cards covering capital or operating costs. You can also volunteer your time and skills to help us grow and serve our community better.
